The ND-BC game in 1993 is one of the all-time greatest upsets in the history of college football. The week prior, 2nd ranked Notre Dame hosted first ranked Florida State in a game that is widely remembered as "The Game of the Century.'" In that game, Shawn Wooden broke up a Charlie Ward pass in the endzone as time expired and the Irish held on for one of the biggest wins in school history, resulting in a spot atop the polls.

All they had to do to lock in a chance to play for a National Championship was to beat Boston College the following week at Notre Dame stadium. It wasn't to be. Despite a 20+ point comeback in the 2nd half, David Gordon kicked a game winning field goal as time expired, winning the game for BC.

It was my first game in Notre Dame stadium.
